How can I become a member of Impact100 Macomb?

Just click the MEMBERSHIP button, fill out our Membership and Donation Form, and send to the address at the bottom. You can pay by check or credit card. If you choose to pay by check, please mail your check to the address on the bottom of the form. If you choose to pay by credit card, select that option on the form and we will contact you via the details you provide on your form.

During typical a membership drive, forms and donations are due by May 31st in order to be included in the voting for grants awarded the following October.

When can I join?

Anytime! We welcome new membership throughout the year. May 31st is the deadline for membership payment allowing voting for that year’s grants. Those joining after May 31st may participate in Impact 100 events but will not have voting rights until the following grant year.

How long is my membership valid?

Each $1,000 donation provides voting membership for one year’s grant cycle.

Do potential members need to be “invited” to join?

Absolutely not. Membership is open and inclusive. CLICK HERE to become a member today.

Is my donation to Impact 100 Macomb County tax-deductible?

Yes, Impact100 Macomb County is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All contributions are fully tax-deductible for the year in which they were made.

What role is there for me if I can’t make the $1,000 contribution?

You can become a Friend of Impact 100 Macomb County and play a very important role in our organization.  All you have to do is complete the Membership and Donation Form and mail us a check. Although they do not provide voting rights, these donations help offset our operating expenses. Impact 100 Macomb County incurs operating expenses essential to accomplishing our mission, growing our membership, and assuring our sustainability.

What is required of a member?

To be a member, you must be a woman at least 21 years old, and donate $1,000 by May 31st to vote for the grants to be awarded the following October. Beyond that, there is no obligation. You can be as involved as you like. Many women simply want to make a donation and cast a vote. If you’d like to participate more actively, there are many ways, such as serving on a grant review committee, joining a committee of the Board, volunteering to help at one of our events, or serving on the Board of Directors.

I want to give more than $1,000. Do I get more than one vote?

No, our founding principle is “one woman, one vote.” Every member gets one vote even if she gives more than $1,000. Any donation over $1,000, however, is greatly appreciated and offsets our operating costs.  If you are feeling generous you can also sponsor others to join Impact 100 Macomb County.

Will you allow my membership to be charged on a credit card?

At this time we only accept cash or check.

Can my company pay for my membership?

Absolutely, your company can pay for your membership.  We welcome corporate sponsors for memberships.

What if I don't have $1,000?  Can I combine friends?

Yes!  It's a great way for women to come together, but please be advised that ONE person will have the responsibility to submit ONE check and provide ONE contact address.  All can attend Impact 100 events, including the annual grant award ceremony, but you will ONLY have ONE vote cast by the member on record.  ONE membership = ONE vote.

What is a shared membership in Impact 100?

A “full” membership in Impact 100 is $1000.  However, many women are interested in a lower contribution level.  Impact 100 offers shared memberships to any group of 2-4 women who want to join without making the full commitment.

What is the contribution for a shared membership in Impact 100?

There are three levels of shared membership -- $250, $334, or $500.

How do the matches occur for the shared membership?

Many shared members identify their own group of women to share the membership.  However, we can help you find others who are interested in a shared membership.  For example, if you wish to contribute $250 to Impact 100, but do not know other women to make the remaining $750 contribution, we will match you with other contributors in order to reach the $1,000 level.

What are the membership “rights” of a shared member?

As a shared member (regardless of level of contribution), you have the following membership rights:

  • You may serve on a Focus Area Committee (FAC). Our FACs are Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Family, and Health & Welfare.

  • You may serve on a Board Committee, such as Membership, Marketing, and Annual Dinner.

  • You may attend all Impact 100 events.

The only difference between a shared membership and a full membership is that, as a shared member, you share your vote with the others in your group.  There is only one vote for every $1,000 or equivalent membership.

How much of a shared membership contribution is used for grants?

All of your shared membership contribution goes into our grant pool.  You may make an additional contribution to cover administrative expenses.

How does a woman join Impact 100 as a shared member?

Visit our Membership page.  Fill out the membership form and complete the payment section.  A membership contribution received by May 31 will provide you with membership through December 31 of that year.  For more information, email us at membership@impact100macombcounty.org.
